745x4.5 = 3.35M OW

3.35x12 = 40.2M domestic OW?

Why does it look like it won't even hit 30M based on pre-sales then? Damn.

Kong did AUD701,000 for a AUD4.72m OW against the 2nd WKD of Logan which did AUD585,000 for AUD4.53m.

The Mummy should be AUD4-5m on that opening.

So using your 12 x it's looking like 48-60m OW

Will be interesting to see how this plays out as Cruise movies don't typically have strong preview numbers.

That would be wild though I'm thinking it skews to a lower than avg ratio just as WW skewed higher

With reviews and WOM so far I'm thinking The Mummy could be closer to around $4m. If we use ID4-2 as a comparison that suggests USD34m.

Note:This is based on the total annual gross AUD in Australia:total annual gross USD Domestic. 2016 was AUD1.26b:USD11.37b making the current multiplier 9 times. In theory if every film had the same performance in each market the gross Domestic in USD would be 9 times the Australian gross in AUD.  Obviously the difficulty comes in adjusting for different genres and tastes between the two markets. Some films are more popular in Australia and the multiplier is lower. Others are more popular Domestic and the multiplier is higher.

Is that (phenomenal) WW drop including the Monday? Sometimes estimates have included the Monday on long weekends?

Looking at their graphs, nope! Only includes Thursday through Sunday.

Should get the Monday number on Thursday, when they put out the full week report.

Actually a few years back long weekends were stopped being reported including Monday's. I think nearly all weekends are just reported as the normal 4 day now.
