When you consider that James Cameron personally made 350 million dollars from Avatar, you'd think he'd do Avatar 2 and 3, make a billion dollars first, THEN use that money to go to the moon, mars, and the the edge of the galaxy or whatever. JUST FUCKING GIVE US AVATAR 2 AND 3 BEFORE WE DIE OF OLD AGE. -_-

I think if history has shown us anything, it's that Cameron actually doesn't care about money that much (in terms of personal finances). He's made plenty of decisions that, frankly, could've hurt him financially. He cares about the projects he makes and he'll do anything to get them done and made as well as possible. Directors don't usually give up their profit participation on a big tentpole. They don't spend years between projects, because that's how they make their living. Every year you don't make a movie is a year you're not directly being paid (although you might be getting residuals from previous films). And it's good Cameron's primary goal isn't money. Filmmaking is a TERRIBLE way to become rich.

Well he made a couple of documantary films between Titanic and Avatar. He also produced a TV series. But yeah it's true he's very dedicated into things he loves. He bascially gave up everything on Titanic.

December 2014 could see Mockingjay Part 1 too. I don't really understand why Harry Potter or Twilight was never released in December. Seems like it would be better then November.

Well it's usually because WB have their December films too, usually the Oscar baits. Some are big though like IAL, SH , etc.
