The vast majority of the advertising $ have been spent by corporate partners using Star Wars tie-ins to advertise their products. Disney has spent very little for a film of its size. Other companies want a piece of SW-mania so they've been doing the heavy lifting.

I did like the fact jj went back to OT creativity with puppetry and less Cgi though.  ?

That could be through  , but Disney as Jimbo said still had to coff up a huge chunk.  This is the most advertised film ever. No wonder Disney is keeping expense of the campaign on lock down.  Makes fa more successful than it really is.  Wondering if it will drop off as bad as aotc and rots as OT thing is almost gone now.  Can't use that OT card forever

I'm astounded by the number of times a person can be wrong in so few words. Can you provide any evidence for what you supposedly 'know'? No, of course you can't.

Oh no I'm definitely not saying it will act like Ted 2, I'm just saying that (especially this year has shown) a leggy predecessor doesn't gurantee a sequel's increase at the box office.

Jim won't be using 120 fps Kal, 48fps is being used for action sequences and standard 24fps is being used for everything else.

Some people have inherent problems with more realistic movement in a movie. You do HFR and some fraction of the population will complain, there's nothing one can do about it.
