Jake Gittes
Roger Deakins - Unbroken Robert Elswit - Inherent Vice Hoyte van Hoytema - Interstellar Bruno Delbonnel - Big Eyes Robert Yeoman - The Grand Budapest Hotel (seriously, enough snubbing this guy already) alternates: Creig Fraser - Foxcatcher Jeff Cronenweth - Gone Girl Guillaume Schiffman - The Search Emmanuel Lubezki - Knight of Cups (or the other Malick)
Jake Gittes
Deakins, Delbonnel and HVH I could all see winning. Deakins has to be #1 at this point, for obvious reasons.
Jake Gittes
Actually I only just thought of a wildcard nomination I'd love to see happen based on the trailers alone: Seamus McGarvey for Godzilla.

Yeah, I, too, think the cinematography we've seen in the trailer is simply amazing, but I doubt they'll let blockbusters in because... y'know. ddddeeee
I went to the same Grammar School as McGarvey.

No I'm not sure I do. Plenty of blockbusters have been nominated for this. Sure they are often blockbusters that are also up for Best Picture, but even if you take those away, you still have Batman Begins, TDK, Skyfall, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Terminator 2, Batman Forever... okay maybe we best forget about that last one.
elcuervo
Eh, Godzilla will get rewarded in the sound and visual effects categories.

Blankments
How many times have we said this before...? Good point. That said, it's blatant Oscar bait and it looks positively gorgeous. Biggest competition is probably Interstellar, but I don't see that winning after both Inception and Gravity
The Panda
I seriously hope Grand Budapest can get in.

Noctis
Big Eyes Birdman Interstellar Mr. Turner Unbroken That's odd...it doesn't look anywhere near worthy of a nomination.

RichWS
Birdman Interstellar Mr. Turner Unbroken Those four look good. I'll guess the last nominee is either Theory of Everything or Gone Girl.
