Umm kitik is right. That's what Universal is doing to finish Paul Walker's scenes.

 

 

Somehow or the other, I doubt the marketing for the movie will say

"Come see Paul Walker's last movie.*

 

* note: that may not actually be Paul Walker on screen"

Will people really accept other actors playing Paul Walker, and then using special effects to pretend it's actually him?That seems really deceptive.

If the main actors dont have a problem, I dont see why the audience will. They knew Paul like family so they would object more than anyone else.

The strategy of using body doubles for Fas7 & Furious seems much more "let's try and do this right for Paul" than "let's see if we can trick people into thinking it's Paul".

not confirmation they are just reporting what the daily news reported.

 

I'm not saying it wont happen. I dont get the big hoopla. 85 percent of the film was done. so im sure there is enough of paul in the movie. cgi and bodydouble probably be for small things like head shot etc.

Half or more of CGI is generally awful, and trying to CGI someone is never a good thing IMO.

Anyone care to guess what type of Monday number Cap is looking at? I tried to look at Thor 2 for comparison, but it's first Monday was a holiday.

They've done it on multiple occasions for the same reason and usually it turns out fine.

Guess my 88M predict for Cap 2 was wrong.For once, I'm happy I am because the movie exceeded my expectations (after being bitterly disappointed in Thor 2).The moral of the story in all of this is that it's important to get a director with a clear vision for franchise movies. Thor 2 didn't have a clear vision and was muddled at best and I hope Marvel have learnt their lesson from Thor 2 and their success with Cap 2.Now WB should just get my dream Flash movie off the ground (as opposed to a CW TV show ).

Perhaps, but don't be surprised if Paul Walker looks a little "odd" in the next Fast and the Furious film.
