kitik
Huge jump for both. What's going on here? There couldn't have been any schools that were in session on Monday but on break on Tuesday, could there? That wouldn't be logical.

baumer
I know our universities here are either about to get out or have gotten out for the year already. Be that as it may, Tuesdays here are always crazy. i didn't go yesterday but I drove by the theater and it was packed last night. To put it in perspective, a regular movie on a normal day is $12.00. On Tuesday, it's $6.10. The motivation is there to go for sure.
fmpro
Expected because of the High drops yesterday compared to last year. Great for both

mahnamahna
Makes sense that everything gets a nice bump... Heaven is for Real is probably going to cause larger declines tomorrow
TalismanRing
I wish my local theaters had discount Tues. The best they offer is first show of the day discount - mere $10.50 TWS is now $17m ahead of TDW's pace and should be $25-30m more by the end of the w/e

narniadis
I think we might see a semi break that starts Wednesday maybe for a bunch of people ? Maybe that's part of why Tuesday was so huge?

There couldn't have been any schools that were in session on Monday but on break on Tuesday, could there? That wouldn't be logical. Actually, it could be the case. It's possible many school districts had school on Monday even if it would have been spring break to make up for the excessive number of snow days that happened earlier this year.
JohnnyGossamer
What does Cap gross today and tomorrow? A combined $5M+? If it can manage that or little more, it'll be in fine position to have $195M+ after it's third weekend. Not too shabby...
TalismanRing
More like $6.5-7m What does Cap gross today and tomorrow? A combined $5M+? RichWS
Could perhaps, by Sunday be at $200m.That would require some really strong numbers through the weekend.
Sam
Could perhaps, by Sunday be at $200m.That's asking for too much. Around 195M by Sunday seems like the target for it.
TalismanRing
That's asking for too much. Around 195M by Sunday seems like the target for it. I think high 190s is possible. It dropped the first weekend Fr-Sun 51.5%) when weekdays so far are showing a much smaller drop heading into a holiday weekend so a 42-45% drop doesn't seem out of the question.
