grim22
TASM2 seems to have recovered from a soft-ish start OS. 400M OS in 3 weeks is a really good take, may end close to 500OS by the end of its run.
John Marston
that's a very poor number for ASM 2 domestically. Though at least 500m overseas still seems to be possible
a2k
Thor2 was 36.5m in weekend 2 with 145m total. Tasm2 got 36.5m with 147m total. 205-210m is where it seems to be heading. Edited May 11, 2014 by a2k
kayumanggi
I think TASM ll is targeting 420 M overseas, not 400 M.

ecstasy
It's doing $750m ww though, it's fine. 750? That might be a little high. It needs to make more than 500m overseas.
John Marston
It's doing $750m ww though, it's fine. probably more like 700 exactly thanks to the domestic underperformance. I am not even sure if the film will be profitable in theaters.

Orestes
It's doing $750m ww though, it's fine. Fine-ish. Dat budget.

a2k
DHD has posted the usual "we told you so" gibberish Neighbors might only be off 5% after the end of day today. If so, it will have earned about $18.3M for the moviegoing day which would push its cume higher. Estimating the Top Five right now: Neighbors with $17.5M to $18.3M today for a $48.6M to mmmaybe push it to $50M … Universal wouldlove that, followed by The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with around $16M so not changing the estimate I did below, between $36M and $37M and off about 61% in its second frame. In third place is Fox’s The Other Woman with $3.5M so not changing the 3-day for that either as it will end up right around $9M for the weekend. Sony’s Heaven is For Real, which I believe is going to fare better than people think it might on Mother’s Day tomorrow, took in $2.5M to $2.7M today so keeping that at $6M+ (maybe $6.4M) when it is all said and done. ecstasy
Ok, $750m-ish then ha. But it could crawl to $220m/$530m split finish perhaps. perhaps. It would be nice if it could surpass the first. But you got remember it's been out overseas in a lot of places for several weeks. It's winding down its run in a lot of places.
Biggestgeekever
I can absolutely see Sony heavily overestimating Mother's Day to give it a drop below 60%. The same thing happened with Spider-Man 3.
