One of my favorite lines in Raiders is coming up: "Asps. Very dangerous. You go first."

Raiders is a film that can never be duplicated.  There are films that have more stunts, quicker fights and frenetic editing, but you can never surpass the sheer audacity of Raiders.  Everything in it feels real.  The boulder that chases Indy, his jump over the pit, the tarantulas, the Hovitos, Marian, Toht, Belloq, Cairo, asps, "truck? what truck?", the Well of the Souls, the fight with the bald dude, the truck chase, Katanga and the end.  It's too fucking brilliant.  It's George's best movie imo.  And one of SS's best.  I fucking love Raiders.

They always said in Raiders there's an R2D2 and C3PO hieroglyphic in the scene where Indy and Sallah take the Ark from the well of souls, but I must be blind because I can never find it.

I never have either.  I think it's off camera.

So I went to Golden Corral earlier today with my grandpa. Tele, they prolong the "Senior early bird Special" to one more hour, from 1pm till 4pm. Just thought you would want to know, if you're not already aware of that.

Glendale's not bad, it's just not very trendy and sexy. Then again, where do I live? The Valley. So..... yeah.

Used to be. Now all these areas that used to be Van Nuys wanted an image change, so they split off into unincorporated neighborhoods that sound more elite and special: Valley Village, Valley Glen, Lake Balboa, etc. But porn these days is in Chatsworth... actually, now it's in Simi Valley since LA County voted to mandate condom usage on sets.

Thanks for all the porn material, Tele. ;)

Never.  There are a handful of films I can say that about.  Jaws, Rocky, Friday 1-5, First Blood and Rambo, ET, Star Wars and a few others.  But they just don't get old, I don't get tired of them and they are never boring.  Raiders is a special, special film.

"Trust me."

How about TASM2? We all know those are the numbers we really want around here.

And now the best chase scene ever.

From the time he says, "truck, what truck?" to the last scene where he finally remembers that he has been shot in the arm and grimaces while rubbing it, it might be the best action scene in the history of film.
