DAR
I really can't wait for Saving Mr. Banks, only because I think the Disney company tends to forget about their founder every now and then.
whoot
Can't say I'm surprised TLR is an epic fail.Disney is not doing well on its blockbuster track record. If it wasn't for Pixar and Marvel (and you can argue they're not even "Disney"), they'd be bleeding money.Bring Dick Cook back?

I do think Disney needs someone to overhaul their development slate for live action films.
whoot
Animation is what Disney's legacy is set on, so at least they have that back. But yeah, the live action stuff definitely needs an overhaul.
Dingdong123
Disney is first and foremost a family entertainment company, and that's where they succeed by a wide margin. Just look at their animation deparment and the fantasy live actions like Oz and Alice. The lone ranger was trying look edgy and to appeal to the adults more so I guess that was a problem. The bloated budget, bad press even before release and bad word of mouth just made it struggle alot.

I hope EmmaThompson gets luckier with this one than with BeautifulCreatures. I'm curious for this movie! Jonwo
Saving Mr Banks is a bit of a departure given its a biopic but the appeal is really Tom Hanks as Walt Disney, it'll be a tough one to market as its not a family film or a blockbuster but I hope it does well. tufftuff
Why doesn't Disney just switch Captain America's April date with Maleficient's July 4th date? Wizard of Oz and Alice did well in the spring and Captain America should be on July 4th
