Was waiting out in front like 15min before it starts and he calls me and bails...I had already bought my ticket so said whatever I'll still see it myself. I had never seen it and there was only like 10 other people in the theater so basically felt like I was alone...scariest movie experience I've even ever had hahaha. This film alone is why I think Verbinski is a genius. Forget PoTC, The Ring all about direction. After I saw the Ring, for about a week I couldn't have my back to the TV. And I'm not making this up, he actually got up and left during this part. He was truly terrified. When she came out of the TV, he got up and turned to me and said, "Unh-uh, fuck that shit." And he turned around and left. I only mention that he was black because it just seems that black people can be much more animated and expressive when watching some movies. I was the only person in the theater and even though I'd seen it twice already, I was still kind of frightened in the theater alone. I'll never forget that experience.
