That drop for Godzilla is fucking AWFUL, and I say that as one of the movie's biggest defenders. WOM from people I know is mixed, but not in the TASM2 mixed sense where everyone just says "meh," Godzilla is mixed in half of the people thought it was fucking awesome, and the other half hated it with a passion. Two years for now, an off-topic weekend numbers thread in September is sure to be derailed further by a 20 page debate about this movie.

Excellent. I said for the BSG that a film would drop under 25% this week and MDA came through.

 

Of course Chef also had a big increase but that's besides the point.

Awful drop for Godzilla. Especially considering MD softens dropsDOFP opens on the reasonable side of of expectations and not the wildly optimistic ones. And yes there were wildly optimistic predictions everywhere because it was apparently supposed to be The Avengers of the X men franchise. BOM predicted 290m with 270m predictions being thrown around. Even tracking was way off saying 125m 4 day

Frozen has legitimate shot at being 4th biggest, only needs 122M+ and with the holds it's having DH2 isn't safe.
