Speaking of which - What the hell happened on Dec 16, 2012 to get 747 people online at the same time on this forum? I know Hobbit: AUJ opened that day, but 747 people seems way high.

While we're on the subject of odd records, the post with the most likes on this site is some strange rant about Sam Raimi and racism.

The Tele-iJack rant. The second most liked post is also directly related to iJack. Neither work outside of the context they were made in.

Because I didn't think you (or others) were taking me (and my previous statements) seriously.

I'm really tired of all the people posting spoilers over the past few weeks.

I fully support any bans handed out by any of the staff here to folks who post spoilers. Frankly, there should be some already.

Not to mention whenever I've talked to someone in real life who's seen the movie, that's the first thing that usually gets brought up and no one gets mad about it being a spoiler. More like thankful to not be misled by marketing. I'll use spoiler tags for all that from here on, but not gonna lie that it seems pretty silly to be strict about to me. We have bigger issues here.

This post just confused the hell out of me.

How so? Tele's avatar is Laurence Olivier. Sam had a mental image of Olivier holding Thor's hammer. I was just playing around with that a bit :P.

Peter O'Toole as Thor perhaps.

Nah, O'toole would've been too young. Douglas already would've been a few years younger than Olivier. I was trying to keep the casting more contemporary.

Cap 2 seems to have disappeared from the top 10. X-Men seems to have hurt it based on these numbers at least. TASM2 with a pretty good hold against direct demo competition from the looks of it.

Well if that's the case I think we've had a big spoiler problem for years here then. Cause I know people have casually thrown around details about new movies much more significant than the one I'm talking about.

Like whenever someone says I wish character x was in movie x more/less, which happens all the time.

People have been remarkably cavalier in the past, at times. That doesn't mean we shouldn't endeavor to do better. There are repeated times when various spoilers have threatened to get so out of hand that Shawn has to step in and threaten major action. Why should it get to that point? In terms of your specific question, a very generalcomment that's fairly vague might slip by where a more specific one would not. Using this example:

Saying you'd have loved to see more GODZILLA is fine. Saying that he doesn't show up until XX minutes from the end is not (even if you're being somewhat facetious).

Again, this is a general numbers thread. It is not specific to any movie, but it gets a lot of traffic over the weekend. Therefore, we should all be more careful about what we're about any new release.

I agree with Tele.  Saying how long Godzilla is or isn't in the film is spoilerish cause I haven't seen it and now I know what to expect.

So why didn't you spoiler tag that post then? See how tricky the line gets if we're being this strict?

i thought dofp would hurt asm2 more than cap2.

2m for ams2 is -56%. that's decent by asm2 standards, going against a cbm and being cushioned by a 4-day weekend.
