Give the studio and creatives a break over the holidays, folks...

And again -- Why don't we have a new thread for JAMES GUNN'S SUPERMAN, at this point?

This is a NEW PROJECT.

Man of Steel "2" is dead.

Happy New Year!

Why would there need to be a new thread? This can easily function as the thread for James Gunn’s Superman. There wasn’t (initially) a new thread made for Matt Reeves’ Batman after Ben Affleck dropped out.

You just answered your own question.  (Initially)  "The Batman" was still arguably some version of the same project in development, even though Reeves rewrote the script (they kept the same title, too).  Gunn's script he's been working on seemingly has nothing to with whatever WBD was recently developing for a Man of Steel sequel.

The reason a new thread was eventually made for Matt Reeves’ Batman was because the previous one had been lost to time. Unless the same thing happens with this thread, I can’t imagine they’ll make a new one.

I haven't seen Euphoria, is he a good actor? He looks the part

Yeah, he’s legit a good actor and his upcoming resume has a lot of interesting projects. Miles better than the popular fan-casts i’ve seen online of corenswet and that wolfgang guy - people who look like superman but just can’t act.

Quote

Superman Legacy feature “This is really the start of the DCU,” says Safran. The project was already announced by the duo Gunn writing. No director attached, but Safran was elbowing Gunn yesterday that he’d really like him to helm. The release date is July 11, 2025. “It’s not an origins story, it focuses on Superman’s balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. He’s the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, he’s kindness in a world that thinks of kindness as old fashioned.”
