Kvikk Lunsj
The TINTIN sequel is still on tap; Spielberg and Jackson flipping roles this time around (Spielberg producing, Jackson directing). PJ's gotta do the mocap once HOBBIT 3 is all finished up. So Peter Jackson is directing Tintin 2 part 1, part 2, and part 3? Spielberg is directing Tintin 3.
TalismanRing
For a look ahead, everyone should check out 2008, the last time Veterans Day fell on a Tuesday: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2008-11-11&p=.htm Looks like the Monday drops will be better than usual, while the kids movies will get a huge Tuesday boost. And then everything gets destroyed back down to normal on Wednesday. Tues boosts should be far bigger this week since in 2008 we didn't have the cheap Tues phenomenon. ACCA
To be fair though, Gravity's increase from Friday to Saturday was MUCH better (31% > 8%) than Interstellar's. But, different weekend, different month. Skyfall's the better comp. (Neither Skyfall nor) Gravity had a limited Tuesday release, and Gravity made much less on Thursday showings than IS. So taking that into account the Friday to Saturday gap is actually much smaller than it appears. Also more importantly, IS's audience skewed even older than Gravity's OW audience. Gravity's older audience was a big reason for strong legs. Interstellar skewing even older could be a good thing. Interstellar doesn't have that. Hunger Games is going to wipe out everything in its path. The other thing is runtime. Gravity was barely 90 minutes, which is easier to go see on work nights for adults. 2 hours and 49 minute runtime is as big as that black hole Gargantua.
Kvikk Lunsj
Come on, with the global warming snow storms are history I mean there are snow storms right now in the US. So i don't think Monday and Tuesday will be as good as people expect.
Ando918
Gonna be a close finish between Interstellar and Divergent at the domestic box office. Who would have guessed that a month ago?

Catching Fire OW had an even split of under/over 25 years old for audiences, but skewing female. Interstellar skews much older with an equal male/female split so Mockingjay may not affect it as much as some of you here so desperately want it to. Skyfall's length was much closer to Interstellar than Gravity. Edit: Additionally, Gravity made most of its money on weekends. Who cares about weekdays when we're talking October and November releases? This is not summer. Weekdays are small. Dementeleus
Nolan is DONE out here. Sad times indeed. Maybe he comes back to England and the BBC allow him to direct an episode of Eastenders. Okay, enough with the trolling, dude. Otherwise you can take a break from this thread.

I don't think it is that bad. Christopher Nolan won't even able to direct an episode of the MTV Real World anymore after Interflopster.
filmlover
Gonna be a close finish between Interstellar and Divergent at the domestic box office. Who would have guessed that a month ago? Interstellar might make less than Ride Along. I can't imagine what the reaction would've been like had someone said that on January 1, person probably would've been stoned to death.
