MovieMan89
-60% seems shitty to me. ROTK dropped 50%. Any other more apt Wednesday mid December openings to compare it to? Edited December 19, 2014 by MovieMan89
grim22
Roughly 34M through 2 days. It will need an increase of 60% on Friday to have a 50M weekend, right now a 42M weekend looks to be the target for around 76-78M through 5 days.
TalismanRing
-60% seems shitty to me. ROTK dropped 50%. Any other more apt Wednesday mid December openings to compare it to? ROTK didn't have such proportionally large preview numbers. It's only about a 25% drop from the Wed (-Tues) number. If the Friday jump is a not out of the ordinary 70% then it's still on pace for a near $90m 5 day opening. http://boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2013-12-20&p=.htm Edited December 19, 2014 by TalismanRing

MovieMan89
Two towers dropped 47%. Oh great, more good news! If BotFA only does what DoS did OW for its 5 day then I am sooo done with the box office this year. In fact I may never henceforth mention this year's box office again when 2015 comes. Fuck 2014. jb007
No good comparable releases in the last few years for the same period. I would say a wknd gross between $45M to $56M.
