AniNate
Seems the little prince is out of the race - release date has been changed to TBD http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1754656/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ov_inf%20 Probably a no-win situation. Next year is pretty stacked as well
The Panda
This years animated category could easily be stronger than the best picture category. So many strong animated films this year.
MinaTakla
So far am seeing: ANOMALISA (this might win! But IO will probably take it) INSIDE OUT SHAUN THE SHEEP MINIONS PEANUTS Outside shots: GOOD DINOSAUR (i don't think Acad. will give 2 slots for Pixar) PHANTOM BOY GIBRAN'S PROPHET
TStechnij
Minions isn't happening babe.
MinaTakla
Minions isn't happening babe. Am counting on a crazy surprise like last year when Lego didn't happen:) If Minions doesn't happen, the surprise slot could go to Phantom Boy or Gibran For some reason am not seeing 2 Pixar entries in the 5 nomination slots. Not because of quality but because of the animation branch's weird taste
WrathOfHan
What about When Marnie Was There?
The Panda
Minions isn't happening babe. Especially over The Good Dinosaur
MinaTakla
Especially over The Good Dinosaur I don't think they're giving Pixar 2 slots Could go to GKIDS esp. Phantom Kid whose director was nommed be4
AniNate
Minions over Good Dinosaur just strikes me as one of those "Why would you want to predict it to happen, even if it could?" kind of deals Edited October 4, 2015 by tribefan695
CelestialFairyIX
- Inside Out, possible BP nomination - Shaun the Sheep - Anomalisa, possible BP nomination - The Good Dinosaur, possible BP nomination unless terrible or cancels out with Inside Out resulting in neither receiving BP nominations - When Marnie Was There, still salty and will always be salty that Studio Ghibli did not win for Princess Kaguya and Howl's Moving Castle Could possibly contend for the strongest line up for this respective category in the history of the Best Animated Feature and possibly stronger than this year's Best Picture line up! Impact
Currently see Inside Out, Good Dino and Peanuts all making it. The 4th and 5th spot now-likely a foreign film that nobody has seen, other possibly ones are Shaun the Sheep (even if I think it looks bland, but that's besides the point), Minions (though a 55% on RT is pretty glaring), Hotel 2 (doubtful, though Globes seems like a nod for it-of course never say never), Strange Magic (kidding!). I do see this still-the 5th one being that one stop motion film Anomalisa. (I kept on getting autocorrected on this title!)
Impact
With the reviews keep on going up for-can't see Peanuts missing out.
MinaTakla
IO and Anomalisa are locks I presume. Shaun and Peanuts great chance. TGD, foreign films by Gkids, Minions all fighting for a 5th spot.
WrathOfHan
Locks: Inside Out, Anomalisa Highly Likely: The Good Dinosaur Last two spots: Peanuts, When Marnie Was There, Shaun the Sheep, The Little Prince
AniNate
16 movies were submitted this year. That's still just barely over the requirement for five nominees, right?
Empire
I think these 4 are locks to be nominated: Inside Out The Good Dinosaur Anomalisa Shaun the Sheep 5 Will be one of the 2: The Little Prince When Marnie Was There
