So Furious 7's sunday in China would be bigger than North American sunday for all the movies combined !!!!

Olive has updated the midnight number to 46M or 7.44M dollars. A potential $50M OD in China?

I just realized Child 44 is getting dumped in 525 theaters next weekend  They should have delayed it to September.

Domestic Box Office $210,730,464 Details International Box Office $336,293,561 Details Worldwide Box Office $547,024,025

With OS updated through Wednesday, FF7 is now at $550M WW. How much do you guys see the total after this weekend? Between $700 - $800M would be my guess.

Is there a precedent to the Paul Walker situation ?

Ledger was different, he wasn t a star, he died tragically in a classic doing a performance for the ages. But it had an effect for sure.

Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee died trafically on the set of the Crow but he wasn t a star either and wasn t in a big franchise.

James Dean died while filming Giant. It wasn't a big franchise, but it was the next movie he was making after the very popular Rebel Without A Cause. Giant did massive numbers at the box office. Adjusted for inflation, Giant is the 122nd highest grossing domestic film of all-time.

So the franchise will likely rule both box office and music chart next week as See You Again has a good shot on topping the Billboard Hot 100 while FF7 will still be #1 on the box office (unless Unfriended surprises big time to beat it at #1 but I doubt it)
