Can fast hit the $1bn mark in 17 days? That's still the movie benchmark right?

Easily. DOM will add 45-50M this week, China 100M-120M and rest of the markets 100-120M as well. In fact it could come quite close to 1.1B by next Sunday.

Good holds for the kiddie appealing movies!

And American Sniper, barely a drop from last week

McFarland is a nice little hit for Disney. The DUFF also did fine for its small budget

Top Worldwide Grosses Ever (unadjusted)

1. Avatar

2. Titanic

3. Marvel's The Avengers

4. Furious 7 ???

5. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

That's just absolutely mind boggling...

And The Avengers 2 is around the corner and can knock Harry Potter out of top 5.....

I need a moment to breathe..... :o

The kiddie movies had a great 10 days gross, but they will most definitely have a huge daily drop from last Monday thru Thursday.

So Transformers and Fast and Furious are two stupid franchises that make tons of cash.

Don t misunderstand me, I like stoopid.

But one franchise gets good reviews and a free pass, the other franchise is trashed to smithereens.

Double standard I call your name.

Double standard I call your name.

Because one is completely self-aware and features actual characters with chemistry, and the other isn't?
