iceroll
I just started this show tonight and I'm already on episode 3 with no breaks, which is saying a lot because each episode is 2 hours long (1.5 without commercials). It's such an excellent show even for someone like me who's unfamilliar with the books and disliked the Warner Brothers movie.
JamesFord92
Really like this show, and I agree it is way better than the Robert Downey Jr. version. Sucks that there are only three episodes a season though.
iceroll
Is season 2 only going to have 3 episodes as well?
JamesFord92
Yeah three 90 minute episodes I think, same thing as season 1.
CoolioD1
Already 2 episodes through the second season in the UK and The Hounds of Baskerville episode is ok.I do like the RDJ Holmes, but yeah, it pales in comparison to this. Benedict Cumberbatch is incredible. Edited January 5, 2014 by CoolioD1
iceroll
Yeah three 90 minute episodes I think, same thing as season 1.Aw that sucks, I wonder why they don't make more per season.
iceroll
I just watched the first episode of season 2 and I'm a bit confused, what side was Irene Adler on and what were her motives towards Sherlock? Somehow she was able to get Moriaty to change his mind about killing Sherlock, but then later it seems like she was working for him when she told him about the plane. Why did she stop Moriaty and why did she have those photographs of Sherlock on her phone in the beginning?
CoolioD1
More proof the TV show is a billion times better than the movies - season 2 ends basically the same way that Game of Shadows ended, except handled sooooooo much more emotionally. Cumberbatch and Freeman deserve all the emmys
iceroll
What a cliffhanger! When is season 3 coming out? This wait will kill me.
pinocchio
I love it. Season 2 was on german TV during the last week or so. The question "How did he fake his death" is a huge thing on the web. Can't expect to watch the next season in 2013.
iceroll
This show takes breaks that are waaaaaay too long. Season 3 is currently set to begin production early 2013. WTF are they doing now?? We probably won't see the first episode until mid-late 2013, that's almost two years since season 2, which itself was 1.5 years from season 1. Why does this show take so long to make? Crusader
Because the writing is better than all US shows on broadcast tv combined ... and most of cable ones too Plus actors are kinda busy see Freeman is doing Hobbit ( kind of a huge thing ya know ) and Cumberbatch is probably in some stuff too Then there's Moffat arguably Britain's most sough after writer right now ( and rightfully so ) I want them to take time in order to give us something as great as first 6 episodes/movies so that Guy Ritchie realizes how much of a hack he really is
Michael Gary Scott
CumberBatch just got done with star trek 2 and I agree show is amazing.
DoctorWho
Also Moffat is the showrunner/head writer for Doctor Who too.Personally i don't mind these huge breaks as long as I get a show as good as this.
Michael Gary Scott
Delayed to late 2013 or early 2014. Two of my fav shows are taking one year hiatus booooooo.
iceroll
Wasn't it always for late 2013? I hate how long it takes for them to make this show. I know it's 2 hours long but that's still only the equivalent of 6 episodes a season, most shows manage 22 a season and their seasons are every year not every 2 years. riczhang
I can't even talk about this right now. Disappointing.
grim22
Seeing how each season is effectively 3 standalone made-for-TV movies (90 minutes almost), I am willing to wait for them to put out the best possible show that they can. I would rather have 9 really really good episodes rather than 22 passable ones.
Crusader
Filming moved to march but late 2013 air date is still on God if they push it back to 2014 I'm not going to be able to hold myself together Its already killing me that I have to wait a year
