To go higher would be the biggest opening Friday to Saturday increase documented for a record breaking OW.

Spider-Man's was over 34% actually. Grossed $7m at midnight, $32.4m Friday, $43.6m Saturday.

Also the Ted and Minions trailers drove people crazy. Don't count out Ted yet. And the Minions torture scene and hottub scene brought down the house, but tbh Ted got the best reaction of the night. From kids too, kinda ironic.

Why? It is obvious the "torture" is played for laughs, so it is having the desired effect. It is not like you expect a Minions movie to be a referendum on torture in movies unlike ZD30.
