I was 18 as well. I liked JP but did not love it. I loved Ford's fugitive back then even more :-)

To me best movie of 1993 was Groundhog day. It never gets old to me.

Jurassic Park wasn't even the best Spielberg movie of 1993 lol

18M weekly. Also, lets not discuss this here.  :)

Right, they're adding in reruns and everyhting.

That's why that 18 million figure would have no bearing on calculating the impact for the first broadcast on the movies playing in theaters that night. ;)

(There, brought it back to JW lol.)

Hmm.

Rth is saying $210-212M OW.

Deadline is saying $208-210M OW.

Both are right on one thing. JW is more likely to take the record.

But which one of them will be more correct?

Just split it down the middle for now lol.

And that's your personal experience. Goldblum's Malcolm in JP is iconic. Down to memes and edited videos all over YouTube.

Hiller is far more iconic lol. I know its a personal opinion that I prefer Hiller, but that 'welcome to earth' line is more famous than anything Goldblum said in Jurassic Park, yes even his shit quote.

I would contest that with multiple quotes:

"Life will find a way."

"If The Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists."

"Must go faster."

Not even close

From an objective filmmaking/quality perspective, Schindler's List wins hands-down.

From a rewatchability/timelessness/entertainment value perspective, JP wins hands-down.

Schindler's List is similar to Passion of the Christ - too painful to watch more than once or twice  :(
