Something of intrest, depite the fact that both directors have had a carreer for about the same amout of time and the fact that they both have quite a few noms-Scorsese and Spielberg have never been nominated in the same year.

Michel Hazanavicius - The ArtistStephen Daldry - Extremely Loud and Incredibly CloseMartin Scorsese - HugoBennnet Miller - MoneyballSteven Spielberg - War HorseRight now this looks like a race between the French filmmaker who made a movie about American cinema and the American filmmaker who made a movie about French cinema.

Spielberg will not be nominated. Are you really paying attention to the buzz and WOM? I love Spielberg, but WH is receiving too many lukewarm reviews and buzz is very disapointing.Hazanavicius ScorsesePayneMalickAllenOther possibilities are the director from Drive, Bennet Miller, and then Clooney, Daldry, and Spielberg.
