It's interesting how some films especially comedies like Trainwreck don't do well OS, I assume it's because the humour doesn't translate well. It's still a success because the budget was $35m so it's already profitable for Universal.

It's pretty amazing how Ted 2 has been rejected pretty much everywhere even though the first film was well-liked. A Million Ways to Die in the West must have taken a serious toll on the Seth MacFarlane brand.

Did the GA even realize A Million Ways and Ted were both MacFarlane?

I mostly think the novelty of a cursing, weed smoking teddy bear ran out.
