BK007
I've seen fewer movies in 07 than any of the last 7 years. Weird, I haven't a clue why. I guess I wasn't interested in a lot of the Oscar flicks and then the making up the numbers releases were just unexciting. Anyway;1. Ratatouille2. Transformers3. Zodiac4. Surf's Up5. Shoot 'Em Up6. Hot Fuzz7. Michael Clayton8. Golden Compass, The9. Stardust10. Meet the Robinsons11. Live Free or Die Hard12. At World's End13. Sunshine14. Freedom Writers15. 4815162342
The policy of this thread is U.S. domestic release, and The Lives of Others and Rescue Dawn were both released in the U.S. in 2007 (In fact Rescue Dawn wasn't released anywhere until July 2007. It just appeared at a couple fall film festivals in 2006). So those two rankings won't be factored in. egoplant
Both of those movies had US releases in 2006. In fact The Lives Of Others even won for the 2006 Oscars.

In fact The Lives Of Others even won for the 2006 Oscars. No they didn't, seriously check anywhere. Film festival appearances don't count since they're non-commercial showings of films.BOM U.S. Release Dates-The Lives of Others- February 9th, 2007Rescue Dawn- July 4th, 2007The Lives of Others was nominated for Foreign Language Film at the Oscars, which operates by different rules than all the other categories. For every category except FLF, it goes by the year of U.S. release, but for Foreign Language Film it goes by the year it is released in the country of production. There have been many cases where a film is nominated one year for Foreign Language Film but actually released in the U.S. 1-2 years later.
