1. What does a premium steak Ant-Man movie look like?

2. How about a premium steak Iron Man origin story or 3. premium steak Winter Soldier story arc?

1. Can't say, haven't seen it. :)

2. One with a strong, dramatically intense and exciting third act.

3. One with directing chops to actually capitalize on the story they chose to tell. 80% of that movie is just inert.

Marvel's sausage-making factory is second to none. Now that they have tremendous clout, I'd love it if they occasionally tried to make a premium steak. (Mixing metaphors badly).

I'd argue they already have (tried at least) with The Winter Soldier. Whether you liked it or not, there's no denying it was at least trying to be a step above in terms of storytelling. And from the sounds of things, Civil War might end up doing the same as well.

Your immediate future is looking grim.

You can only watch Talia Al Ghul die or the Joker sporting a nurse dress so many times.

is it? I can always watch other films, you know, non-superhero stuff.

and like I said, I prefer to watch 4 bad to 1 one great than 5 decent films.

also, it's not like I rukaio hated the last two films.

I certainly can't speak for them, but just in general: if they loved the movie in question, why should they care about anything else?

Because it impacts the future of DCEU.

For example, if I were the only one to enjoy Iron Man, there won't be an MCU.

As a Marvel fan, I like the current reality much better.

Not entirely sure why you brought me up here. Typo or Freudian slip?

Most critics and fanboys think Marvel has had a few great films.

And they didn't have to make a half dozen rotten films to achieve it.

I rather have safer movies then have the Avengers turn into batman vs superman.

It's safe but clearly what the masses want

Marvel is the franchise restaurant and DC is the local restaurant. You know what you getting with Marvel and with DC you go in blindly.

Warners is gonna keep making DC-related movies until we're all dead, regardless of how they turn out.

I'd like to see a rapturously-received one made before I send Jr. off to college though. That's all I care about. I don't want to leave "taking you to see a good DC movie" off the list of accomplishments when I do my own version of the Patricia Arquette speech at the end of Boyhood.

Then again, if your kid loves it, grit your teeth and enjoy his enjoyment. I'm already preparing to do the same for Bayformers with mine.

I look forward to hearing the complaints someday of "The Dark Knight is such an old movie." lol.

Daredevil Season 2 on Netflix may be more to your liking. Disclaimer: it's a tad violent.
