Mredman buys the blu rays of course.

Honestly I'm guessing the 'It totally fixes the movie guys!' version of BvS probably helped the sales. A lot. You can't even rent the Ultimate Cut

This too.

I doubt that many people cared enough for it to increase sales that much. And even if "teens" loved suicide squad that is not accounting for massive sales lol. Also man of steel is in the top 20 all time blu ray sales.

I think on this site and the internet in general we really don't have a clue about the GA as much as we think we do.

DC fans are the most stubborn fanbase that can not accept criticism and suggestion to improve the damn franchise.

As someone who was been an IMDB user, not all DC fans are like that. They had a lot of hostile fanboys but every franchise has nutjobs.

Or maybe people just have different opinions and they're happy with what they got?

People who expect others to just not go to movies aren't realistic and that's the only way fans have any impact on movies.

Well they keeping attacking Marvel with criticism applicable to them too, which means they are hypocrites.

Deadpool - $90.6 million
Captain America: Civil War - $73.1 million
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - $72.7 million
Suicide Squad - $71.0 million
X-Men: Apocalyse - $29.1 million

(Current video sales).

Suicide Squad considered it just got on Home Video surprised me, and Civil War too because of Netflix.

Studios don't release Home Video numbers.  Those numbers are all estimates and some derived from some bizarre unit averages.  Opening week sales - they have CW and Deadpool selling at $19.99 per BR, BvS at $25m and SS at $30.  They all retailed the first week around the same price.      Then they aren't too consistent with tracking price fluxations in the following weeks, though they did better with BvS and Deadpool when they started discounting ($13-15 per BR)  than others in the past like MOS.

That particular group is a small sub section of fandom(all fandoms do it). If someone's opinion bothers you so much it's best to stay off the internet.

If people that still buy bluray today are still in the general audience, it is a very small amount that is a special one. I would imagine that a lot of those  BR sales goes to the franchise fans, not the general audience. When talking about something less than 2% of the population do, I don't know how general it is.

Streaming, tv rating and renting numbers would give us a much better idea than sales about the GA.

MARVEL'S LEGACY RELAUNCH BRINGS THE AVENGERS BACK TO BASICS

Marvel Comics has revealed first details about "Legacy," an upcoming relaunch that promises to bring many fan-favorite characters and franchises back to their roots after the events of Secret Empire. Marvel made the announcement at their "Next Big Thing" panel at C2E2 this afternoon.

(...)

If the teaser is to be believed, Legacy will see the return of Tony Stark as Iron Man and Bruce Banner as Hulk, while Thor Odinson will apparently be reclaiming his hammer Mjolnir. The art also shows the return of classic costumes for Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch, Daredevil and Captain America (though we have to wonder if Steve Rogers will still be wearing the Captain America costume at that point).

Legacy will officially begin this fall with a 50-page, one-shot special called Marvel Legacy #1. This issue will reunite Thor: God of Thunder creative team Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic as the duo lay the groundwork for what's to come in the Marvel Universe and chronicle the return of a major character.

“The Marvel Legacy initiative is a celebration of everything that makes Marvel the best in fiction and it’s a signifier of a new era for Marvel Comics,” said Quesada in Marvel's press release. “It’s a loving look at the heart of Marvel as we embrace our roots and move enthusiastically forward with all the Marvel characters you know and love starring in the biggest, boldest, best Marvel stories. All of which kicks off with the giant Marvel Legacy special.”

From there, Legacy will see many Marvel titles revert to their classic numbering, though Marvel didn't reveal which specific books will be undergoing that shift. But regardless, the goal is for every new and existing series to offer readers a fresh jumping-on point as Legacy begins.

LOL

They are shamelessly copying the incredibly successful DC Rebirth that was launched last year and has since dominated comic book sales.

I see that the plagiarism didn't stop at the BVS/Civil War script.

That's true that they are doing this because of fall in sales of their top titles but marvel still have the majority of market share.

So just like DCEU now copying the MCU tone and with way more cringier villains and heroes, Marvel is copying DC in comics. Shocking.

More like Marvel leading market share for the past 50 years.

It's easy to win the market share when you have the Star Wars comics, because the real Marvel comics are a complete failure. 8RrJ0OW.gif

Just like with the quality of Lego Batman compared to MOS, BVS, and SS
