I still need to see Room, Revenant, Carol, Beasts of No Nation, Love and Mercy, Legend (exclusively for Tom Hardy), and What We Do in the Shadows, at minimum, before I can fill out my ballot. Gonna be a busy month. As of now, without seeing any of those movies, my acting perfs are still packed

Actress (Missing Carol and Room and Rampling)

Ronan

Blunt

Theoren

Vikander (For Testament of Youth not that gawdawful Danish Girl movie)

Hall (For the Gift)

Actor (Missing Legend, Revenant, Beasts, and also Love and Mercy/Room if you count Dano/Tremblay here)

Fassbender

Jordan

Hanks

Garfield

Hmmm...Samuel L

JUST missing: Bateman and Fassbender (MacBeth)

Supp Actress (Loaded for once, considering I still haven't see a few movies)

Vikander (Ex Machina)

Leigh

Winslet

Cottliard

Walters

Supp Actor (Fucking impossible)

Del Toro

Isaac

(These two are locks)

And then there's about ten guys in about exact equal position. This category is fucking loaded, and that's without having seen Hardy/Elba/Dano/Tremblay

I'd say for the last three:

Mitchell

Brolin

Emory Cohen

But big shouts to Stallone, Bale, Gosling, the Spotlight guys, Goggins, Russell, Rylance, Edgerton (for Black Mass AND The Gift), and others. This category is tough.

I'm curious to see how the Score noms end up. My guess:

Michael Giacchino (Inside Out)

Junkie XL (Mad Max)

Ennio Morricone (Hateful 8)

John Williams (Star Wars)

and for the final spot I think we might get a smaller film like Carter Burwell for Carol.

Sicario seems like it'll probably pull a nom. Lots of people loved that score on here. It's unique, but BWAM-y enough for the Nolan crowd. Also, Sicario in general got big love on this forum (except for a few posters) and alot of reviews, so I'm also expecting it to pop up in Picture/Actress/Supporting Actor.

We are adding one more category!

BEST ACTION SEQUENCE!

Fun!  We should add Best Sound as well.  Sound Editing/Mixing is a lot more important than people give credit.

Also, instead of action sequence, why not stunt ensemble?

Best Action sequence is tough one.

Border Battle in Sicario, Store Fight in Tomorrowland, Opening intro in Spectre, Water Tank in MI5, Final Battle in American Sniper.  Plus others like Final Shootout in Slow West, T-Rex vs. Indominus in Jurassic World, House Attack in Tomorrowland, Car Chase/Bike Chase and Opera scene in MI5, Going from East Berlin to West Berlin in U.N.C.L.E and Walk's Climax.
