The odds are crap on that, 6/4 for Mad Max. If it wins you get your deposit plus only 50% back. Not really worth the risk when TFA is looking likely to win.

Tree guess who all the public money is likely coming in on, the fact that it's that close is almost a tell that Mad Max has a really good shot to win.

Here are the relatively close categories guys (that aren't short films) give me your predictions specifically on these: Costume Design, Makeup, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Visual Effects.

totally wouldn't surprise me if mad max wins all of those.

I have Mad Max winning the first two and TFA on the last three. I don't think Makeup is a close category.

Revenant has a 21% shot according to PredictWise in makeup, it's a long shot but not that unlikely given the variance in the smaller categories. Sound Editing has TFA at 6% & mixing at 2% so you may want to rethink those.

joe biden's presenting lady gaga's performance actually, which doesn't totally tip the scales for who's gonna win that award at all.

Costumes, DANISH GIRL - 14/1

Revenant in Editing wouldn't be a bad investment. I don't think it happens but the odds are high enough that investing a single dollar can gain a big profit. Williams isn't bad either. Invest in Winslet at your discretion, that race is really close
