Honestly, the only reason the reviews are decent (60% isn't really good), is because it appears as if he actually tried to make a good movie in 13H.  Even most the positive reviews mention it's another Bayflick, it just feels more mature and it's a decent action film.

I mean, I am biased because I hated the movie, but if it had been a different director (where the critics actually had decent expectations of) I think it'd be well in the rotten range.

I see, I thought that the King was starting to be well received by critics, but it's just another case where the expectations was so low that the final result was not that bad

Those are incredible jumps

Revenant 39M? That would mean +4M over the projections!

One wonders how you jump $11m worldwide from a $1.6m adjustment in estimates.

Meant to point out, to help the understanding of future posts:

why did you think I added 17 January to it?

In a lot of countries its already either evening, or, see e.g. in Wellington it's already Tuesday morning, in this case ~ 5:30 o'clock.

It's adding Monday

No it isn't. The $1.869b figure includes Monday domestic estimates (see boxofficemojo).

It's not adding an overseas Monday either because 1) it's far too early, and 2) overseas minus China grossed $7m on Monday last week. Given that China's about $2.5m today, I highly doubt overseas without China actually increased from last week to make the $7.5m needed for a $10m overseas gross.
