The audience for Raw and for the Rumble/Mania are way different. Mania ending with 100,000 people booing Reigns doesn't sound like it is best for business to be honest. Btw, TNA went crazy yesterday and did #LOLTNA worthy things again: https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/427w79/tna_release_statement_on_aj_styles/

Lmao. TNA is dead. Dixie needs to accept that.

Yes, Reigns is gonna get booed at Mania but he was gonna get booed no matter what there. Triple H is gonna get a standing ovation when he gets the title tomorrow.

Sex and wrestling go hand in hand anyway:ph34r:

Speaking of sex and wrestling, if somebody made pg gay porn, would anyone be able to tell the difference between that and wrestling? Aside from the porn having better acting and story lines, that is.

This is exactly the direction this thread needs to go

Sorry to put this back on the topic of box office, but it just occurred to me how god awful Concussion has held. Smith has practically gone from being the biggest draw in Hollywood ten years ago to box office poison today. 3 films in a row under 60 DOM, each progressively lower. He's damn lucky he was able to get in on Suicide Squad.

It's not him, it was the premise. Nobody wants to see the national pastime attacked and people perceived that this was an advocacy film doing just that.

Smith easily would have turned it into a hit 10 years ago. It has all been downhill for him ever since he made that dumb comment on how he was too big to fail back before Hancock was coming out. Granted, that movie didn't fail but it definitely started the backlash I'd say.

He also said he could be president if he chose to. Not a wise move. One good role and he can recover though. But no actor was going to sell Concussion. IMO.

Joy as well. Both Christmas releases with a very limited audience sold completely on their star. TFA seemed to have the biggest effect on Spectre and MJ2, Spectre looked set for around a 210M finish and MJ2 looked set for an "drag it to 300M" finish, but now Spectre will be dragged to 200M and MJ2 will finish with a lower multiplier than MJ1.

After Earth was generally agreed to be shit, Focus wasn't promoted at all by WB and no one wanted to see a depressing story (Concussion) during the holidays. Although Smith's age might be a big factor as well.

To be fair, After Earth killed Jaden's career, it just knocked Will down for a bit. The backlash from Jaden Smith generally being a dumbass also hurt Will a lot.

That was happens when Jaden Smith is your son and you want to create a franchise for him.

He should just ignore him and let him do his thing.

Focus had a pretty big marketing campaign by WB. They had no idea what they were selling because every TV spot was selling a different movie, tho.
