The Panda
I know the excitement on the forum is just boiling to see what our favorite movies are for the 4th time. Such a monumental event. How many Nolan films will make the countdown? How many times will people shout a movie is overrated? How much of this list is really just going to be a "favorite comic book movies" list? It's time to find out. First here are the 10 just misses (in no particular order, however they all either missed by a single point or tied in points and missed by a vote count tiebreaker) Gone Girl Star Wars Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith The Sound of Music Grave of Fireflies Life of Pi Before Sunset Duck Soup City of God Good Will Hunting Shrek Some other fun facts 13 Animations made the list, and only one of them was not from Disney or Pixar More than 2 Nolan films missed the list! (Shocker, but just how many did miss? We'll find out. Safe to say if MrPink or ED sent in lists they all likely would have made it) 5 Marvel movies made the list and only 1 of them wasn't from the MCU The film with the lowest number of votes that still made the list received 6 votes (less individual votes than all but one of the honorable mentions, and that one it tied with), this film also made it rather high up with only 6 votes. Now, time to begin.... Edited May 31, 2016 by The Panda

WrathOfHan
Shrek was in my Top 50. Surprised how close ROTS and Gone Girl came to the Top 100.

WrathOfHan
Pretty surprising that there's only one animated movie from Disney/Pixar on the list. I'll take a guess and say it's The Incredibles.

Are you sure you didn't mean to put 'wasn't'? Because I remember this list last time and like almost every non-Spirited Away animation was a Disney/Pixar. That said, if this is accurate, consider me very intrigued.

The Panda
Number 100 The Big Lebowski 25 Points (9 Votes, Avg. Score 38.8889) "Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man." Top 5 Placements: 1 Top 10 Placements: 2 Change From Previous Years: 2014 (Not Ranked), 2013 (93, -7), 2012 (41, -59) Tomatometer: 80% Box Office: 17.45m (31.92m Adjusted) Highest Level of Awards Recognition: Ranked on the IMDb Top 250 IMDb Synopsis: When "The Dude" Lebowski is mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, two thugs urinate on his rug to coerce him into paying a debt he knows nothing about. While attempting to gain recompense for the ruined rug from his wealthy counterpart, he accepts a one-time job with high pay-off. He enlists the help of his bowling buddy, Walter, a gun-toting Jewish-convert with anger issues. Deception leads to more trouble, and it soon seems that everyone from porn empire tycoons to nihilists want something from The Dude. Critic Opinion: "To be honest, just writing that out, it's sort of hard to comprehend the film's ridiculous layers. The Big Lebowski is an odyssey of strange and absurd, narrowly built for the cult crowd, and injected with the usual Coen Brothers wit and silliness. When the film first arrived, it was met with confusion and even some distaste among critics and audiences who couldn't quite wrap their heads around the dizzyingly funny, and haplessly convoluted tale. But over the years, The Big Lebowski has become a massive cult hit, complete with Lebowski conventions and fan clubs (called The Little Lebowski Urban Achievers). While the film may not have been understood completely back in 1998, it's now one of The Coen Brothers most renowned works. Finally, after all these years, The Dude is getting some respect. I just wish he could get some compensation for his rug. It really tied the room together." - R. L. Shaffer User Opinion: "Yeeessssss! One of my favorite movies of all time. This movie is a labyrinthine puzzle of a movie topped with great performances, a million funny quotes and the typical, oddball humor of the Coens. Love it, love it, love it. I have seen this at least 10 times. Great soundtrack too. The funniest scenes for me 1. The bit where they're eating burgers in the car after Walter smashes the red car 2. "Jackie Treehorn.. treats objects like women.. man" 3. "Do you have to use so many cuss-words?" ... "The fuck you talking about?"" - Jack Nevada Personal Comment: I am going to try to keep my personal comments short, as I'd rather people read the glowing critiques from the user or critic I chose to highlight (mostly so when I get to a movie I don't like/haven't seen I don't have to talk about how awesome it is, yet still highlight why people love it and not pay it disrespect). The Big Lebowski is the first of a few Coen Bros films to make this list, and it is one of the definitions of a cult classic. The film made very little impact upon release but has since then been quoted by dude's everywhere for the rest of time. It may not make much sense when you first watch it, but that doesn't stop this first entry on our list from being quite the jolt of fun.
