Really strong Tuesday increases all around. Money Monster and Mother's Day both increasing more than 50% from Monday. Cheap Tuesday's seem to really have come into their own in the past year or so as more theater chains have added it, a number of Regal theaters doing it in the US as well.

I think awareness is growing every year. I remember Minion's Tuesday bumps. It pretty much behaved like the 4th day of the weekend. It's first 5 Tuesdays were bigger than the respective Fridays http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=daily&id=minions.htm

Well, that was July. It's a bit different when school is still in session.

Disney's ZOOTP pushed BVS to #3 yearly. This weekend Disney's CW will go over it. Next weekend it will be Disney's TJB pushing BVS to #5. Then at least two movies, Disney's Dory and Disney's Rogue One, pushing it to #7. Disney = Doomsday.

I've been tinkering with it for the past hour. Managed to get it down to $445M. Better, I guess.

Whatever you gotta do man, you're new on the site and I really like what you're doing so far. Keep it up :)

There probably won't be another non-Marvel movie on that date for a while. The last non-Marvel superhero movie to be the summer opener was MI3 in 2006. That was 10 years ago.

And for good reason

Opening Weekend:

 $47,743,273

I think this is a small weekend even for 2006

MI3 was considered a big disappointment back in the day. Two films released later that month (X3 and Da Vinci Code) actually had higher opening weekends.

And J.J.'s first film. I guess you could say he's  redeemed  his box office rep  now.
