Well I saw Dory. All I have to say is Hank is cool but the rest of the movie.....Fuck that stupid fish.

How'd the audience members feel about your furry fish fetish Baumer?

I'm glad you gave it a shot at least. Sounds like it was at least better than IDR as well!

I'm seeing a movie tonight you'd actually probably suggest: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial on the big screen.  I'm excited :D

If Dory gets past $528.4M, it beats Nemo's lifetime adjusted gross.

I'm more interested in if it could beat Nemo's first run attendance, which would probably take around $530m (Nemo's first run is $483m).

Dory's weekdays are just insane. If it were pulling weekend holds on that level we'd be looking at a true juggernaut. Still, 500 keeps looking more and more likely.

500m for any movie IS a true juggernaut

Could Dory beat 550?

It would have to play like IO from here on out to get there.

EDIT: Just did the math and it's actually out-legging both IO and TS3 right now.

12-day cume/OW=multi.

Dory: $311.17M/$135.06M=2.30x

IO: $200.84M/$90.44M=2.22x

TS3: $244.03M/$110.31M=2.21x

Fantastic number for The Shallows.

Finding Dory is a monster!!

Is that a fantastic number for The Shallows? I thought it's increase was low considering the other movies had increases in the +40s but I've never followed thrillers/horror movies closely so I don't know if its trend is different than other films.

If FD gets above $510,172,811 it'll have the best legs of any film to open over $100m with a Friday opening. TFA's the current record holder. Before that it was TS3.

It looks like Inside Out has the best legs for a film with a Friday opening and an OW above $90m. FD will need $532,327,192 to do better.

If it gets to $551,585,596, it'll have the best legs of any film over $100m OW period, beating Shrek 2, which had a Wednesday opening.

It's hard to talk about legs when an animation opens to more than $130M
