I have no idea what it all means for the film specifically but I've seen a lot of positive reactions to the trailer soooo Open Road has an opportunity to do something with the movie.

I just hope that the folks at Open Road are aware of this and take the steps necessary to give the film an opportunity to find an audience.

I think they made the right call moving it from September 15th so that's a start. Next would be to stop with the tragic posters. That Russian poster is awful.

Btw I just checked BOM's site and they're making this a wide release.

soooo which one of you BOT members works for Open Road?

Open Road told BOP it'll open in 250 theaters. BOM sometimes has incorrect release patterns and dates (they still have Six Billion Dollar Man scheduled for Christmas when it hasn't even begun filming ffs)

I don't know. A few days ago on BoM it said 250. I checked it when I saw the trailer was dropping soon. So they changed it to wide on their website within the last couple days.

Once again, this is an example of a great poster in a year of great posters.

(Just now noticing that this directed by the guy from World War Z- a personal favorite of mine when it comes to genre films!)

anyway the poster doesnt match the movie, makes it look lik a period piece

is this still gonna open limited?

Box office mojo had it opening at 250 theaters then changed it to wide a little after the trailer dropped. Just checked and mojo still has it opening wide so who knows.

I had absolutely no clue that World War Z  was directed by the same guy who helmed Monster's Ball  !
