By the time GOTG merges with CAP-BUCKEY, IM-SPIDEY and THOR-HULK storylines, they should hand out booklets at the ticket counter to summarize past events.

Better yet have a previously in the Marvel Universe prologue play before the movie.

Sat looking around 18.2

13.35 + 18.2 (+36.3%) + 12.55 (-29%) = 44.1 (-67.01% from 133.68)

I have a '.1' in my estimate. Just like WB likes.

Total anecdote: last week I had an husband/wife organizer team come to help clean up my office (total mess since we moved). I got to talking with the guy about summer movies, because he said how much he loves going to see blockbusters. (The conversation started off when he asked if I was gonna see SUICIDE SQUAD). After raving about BAD MOMS, he started talking about other big summer movies he'd seen. I asked if he saw X-MEN, and he said he didn't like it that much. Said he was expecting something bigger and cooler, not two teams fighting against each other. I said, wait a sec, are you talking about X-MEN? He then realized he was talking about CIVIL WAR, which he reiterated he didn't like it much. Then he said he really enjoyed X-MEN.

General audiences, man.

It's strange how so many of us run into random people who say things that reinforce our own opinions, right out of the blue. :thinking:

Well, I used a Jedi mind trick but surely that can't have affected him.

You musta really fried his brain because X-MEN was also about two teams fighting each other

Would have asked him if he was sure he watched BAD MOMS and not NEIGHBORS 2.

Many also believe that despite its play for families, Disney’s Pete’s Dragon is biting into Suicide Squad‘s hold with an opening of $20.8M in third.

'Many' = 'Deadline analysts'
