a2k
So we have just 1 1b film this summer - CA3 in the 1st week of summer Hopefully DORY makes it there too. Even if DORY crosses 1b it's most likely not gonna touch ZOOTOPIA's 1.023b. So ZOOTOPIA has a legit shot at #3 WW behind ROGUE ONE and CA3.

a2k
SS needs 12.6 to touch 300 over the 4-day. Should do it without needing great holds, 2.3 (+130%) + 3.7 (+60%) +3.9 (+5.4%) + 2.85(-27%) = 12.75 GOTG was +146.2%, +61.7%, +12.8%, -17% over FSSM, so my SS holds are very reasonable considering last weekend SS had much better jumps on Fri and Sat compared to GOTG (albeit with worse weekly holds as GOTG weekday holds were much better) I think 10/13 3-day/4-day should happen. That would be glorious. Edited September 2, 2016 by a2knet

Yeah it will still pass 1B as it's overseas isn't done yet (Germany and Italy still to go) but as Cannastop noted, it would take a huge Germany turn out to get it past Zoo - not expecting it to. Frankly Dory's OS gross has been perplexing to me. It's fine, but nothing special and it will barely in the end top Inside Out's OS gross. Frankly based on other films and the fact that Nemo itself was HUGE for Pixar back in the day you would have thought 600m was locked and loaded... but like here in the US the overseas holds weren't anything more than "just fine"

The Dark Alfred
SS is having an impressive run, Tracking better than Bourne Ultimatum which did over 10m 3-day with lower Thursday. a2k
Start of the summer few people would have expected SS to do more than 2x APOC dom (2x155.4 = ~311m). SS will also beat it OS by about 20m. WW it will be ahead of APOC by ~180m. That's the about the same as their budget. If you remove China for APOC too then SS will be ahead WW by ~300m . I have been browsing in other fourms, when I see arguments about how the movie needs another 100+ mil to breakeven it makes me realize exactly why people has in thier minds that DC is failing. They find negative news and they hold on to it entirely too long. Also blast it without no real evidence. But in the end DC has the last laugh.
