I think Cap still will tentatively get it if only so they can wait a bit longer to push back the entire Marvel slate
AMC Theaters Enjoyer
Yeah I think May 3rd will be Captain America again since that’s completed filming. With this I can see it going back to its previous September or November dates. Edited August 10, 2023 by AMC Theaters Enjoyer
ZeroHour
Could Cap 4 really be ready without any reshoots? That's pretty rare for a Marvel project. The way the strikes going, I would guess that Deadpool ends up in that Christmas slot when it's all said and done.

If the strikes don't end in time for them to do the normal MCU reshoots for a May 3 release then there are much bigger problems than this coming out. Well, they've completed principal photography, but so long as the strike ends before the end of the year they should have plenty of time for any reshoots they need to do. filmlover
I suspect another studio will swoop in and take the May 3 spot since Apes is already set for Memorial Day weekend + isn't big enough of an IP to kick off summer movie season. Maybe Godzilla x Kong to allow for some breathing room in the currently packed March.

If Deadpool is pushed back, chances of Disney putting The Marvels in May is greater than leaving the timeframe open for other studios. Unless Marvel does not want Brave New World in that May 3 slot for some reason that will move back. All indications are that The Marvels is staying put with it's Nov 10th date. But things do change,

They're already aggressively promoting The Marvels (trailers, Entertainment Weekly cover story, etc.) so it's looking pretty locked in for November at this point. They posted their movie schedule yesterday during that meeting and the only releases they have listed for Q1+2 of 2024 are Elio, Snow White, Planet of the Apes, and Inside Out 2. Assume those are the only movies that won't be impacted by the strikes.
ZeroHour
The Marvels seems to be as locked in as anything can be at this point. I'd expect Dune 2 and even Hunger Games to move to 2024 before The Marvels does.
SpiderByte
I could see WB deciding to throw the dice with Aquaman and move Dune back, as on paper Aquaman is the safer bet.
ZeroHour
Aquaman will never have a better release date. WB would be criminally stupid to move that film anywhere else.
WittyUsername
As I recall, MoM had reshoots done as late as March 2022. I think Cap 4 should definitely be able to get released in May, assuming the strike ends by January. If it doesn’t, then Hollywood is screwed. SpiderByte
Yeah a strike lasting till next January will have big problems for everybody.

TheFlatLannister
This is going to open like MoM imo...The question is will it also be disappointing and will it have legs.

NamakFiskKa
From Michael Bubble to Celine to her would be a downgrade if she's gonna have a song featured
