Yeah, your post about the Globes set that off. Can't think there will be many Musical/Comedies that will be as good/buzzy as this. And it doesn't really stretch the "comedy" label too much. Certainly not as much as other movies have in the past.

This is going to have a much bigger cultural impact than 10CL from what I'm hearing & that was one of my favorite movies from last year.

Why not? There are only so many good movies in a year. It's pretty rare to get this level of support off the bat. If it is a breakout BO hit then there is a chance, that's all we are saying.

maybe. you'd have to see how the year plays out. the lobster only got a nomination because the year was pretty light on oscar buzzed original screenplays. there were only like 3 that people were actually talking about. usually not that empty.
