No kidding, it won't end far behind Winter Soldier, which was 1. a sequel, 2. benefiting from the Post-Avengers effect that all phase 2 marvel sequels got, and 3. had Black Widow crossing over for added inter-connectivity.

Disney should be pretty happy with Doctor Strange

I do hope so, it is behaving rather consistantly - no matter FB's impact (a little bit for a short time) or even SW R1's release

It's pretty in the middel of 2 MCU part 2 films - as a part one film

DS is most definitely MCU's second most successful solo launch film after IM1. Disney should be more than pleased with it.

The WW gross is particularly impressive. Higher than Thor 2 and IM2 and won't even fall very short of Cap 2 and GotG.

Where are people getting these 320-350 predictions for Sing based upon its Wednesday Thursday numbers?  It's performing below Moana holiday Wednesday and Thursday numbers and Moana will be lucky to hit 250.

Who's predicting that? I think most are expecting around 250 because of how much money it can potentially make through the 2nd.

Interesting.  There's an exactly $1000 difference in R1's DOM total between Mojo and The Numbers (Mojo had R1's Monday number exactly $1000 lower).

Not that it matters much, but I do wonder which is right.

Been trying to track this down over the last couple of days, and finally figured the discrepancy.

BOM had at least for hours a mistake in its Sunday/weekend numbers, I checked then repeatedly to adjust the chart when they 'repaired' it = they didn't do it then, maybe adjusted per Monday?

It's impressive. AM didn't open very strong and had to rely on good WOM. DS was a hit out of the gate.

While I don't think anyone is expecting 300m (or more) 250 is a good goal to aim toward because of how this time of year works. Take a look at past animated films in December (in particular 2011 since that was the last calendar match up) and see how much films make week over week between Christmas and New Years Day. It all balances out.

No, the DOM total between BOM ($221,998,674) and Numbers ($221,999,674) is different.

FWIW, the R1 page always had the correct OW number (especially the daily page), it was the Weekend and other pages that had the wrong number.

Impressive depends on what you are looking at. To me it's impressive for the consistency that Ant-Man missed out on. Also, the film has held up reasonably well considering it faced 2 films targeting the same demo that have or will make the same amount of cash.
