Eevin
Per Forbes, yet again. https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2017/03/30/box-office-beauty-and-the-beast-has-now-earned-750m-worldwide/ That's -34%, which is actually a smaller drop than last week despite a bigger Tuesday rise. -46% from last Wednesday.
arpiaaaa
Another day, another Beauty and the Beast update, mostly because you seem to enjoy them. So the Walt Disney live-action musical adaptation of the 1991 animated musical earned another $6.2 million in North America and $13.3m overseas. That gives the film a robust $341.8m domestic total after 13 days, placing it amid the top 40 biggest grossing domestic hits of all time. And with a $409m overseas total, the film has now earned $751.1m in just under two weeks. https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2017/03/30/box-office-beauty-and-the-beast-has-now-earned-750m-worldwide/#22765aff42ec Edited March 30, 2017 by arpiaaaa

baumer
Thursday: 6.05 Friday: 13 Sat: 20.8 Sun: 15.2 49M weekend.....or down 43.5% I could be over estimating it this weekend....if BB does really well, then it would probably drop around 50% instead of 43-45.

FantasticBeasts
That's a very good drop. It's also such a beast OS. I think it will top all films from last year WE comfortably. With Japan break out it could challenge an all time top 10 (This must be about 1.25b right???)

Eevin
If it plays like last week: 6.15 13.3 21.6 16.1 $51m weekend (-43%) I do think potential $40m+ competition from Boss Baby could mute increases, though.
a2k
BATB fell 43% in the 2nd weekend from non-preview OW. It should replicate that in the 3rd weekend for 51m imo.

A drop like that would give BATB an outside shot of beating TDK. With these numbers and a Cinderella multiplier it would hit $533.7m, $1.1m below TDK. JohnnyGossamer
Yup. Thinking just over/under $50M this weekend for BatB.
narniadis
Yeah, on one hand it can make box office tracking a bit boring when we can know where a film is headed but at the same time it's nice to be more right than the trades more often than not. narniadis
Told the 40% folks that it was crazy to assume it would drop that much. Think it's off another 10% today and then about 125% increase on Friday. Boss Baby's Saturday may bite into Beast a bit if it can really break out. wileECoyote
Again, BatB up from early estimates. Even if BB breaks out like Home in 2015, BatB, if it follows Cinderella is probably looking at 46+ weekend. I'm thinking that it should do better with 49+.
