Lionsgate had a 45 milllion budget. That is simply not going to translate to the kind of overseas marketing push that you will see when big boys like Disney, Paramount or Warner Brothers push a film globally. But it has one thing going for it. The books. So, THG might not be quite so successful overseas due to the limited marketing budget, but as THG lights up in US, and as more people buy the books, and as more of the books gets translated, and as Lionsgate gets a much bigger budget to spend on marketing overseas for catching fire, then we will see catching fire explode overseas. IMO if this can get market cumes of $20m~ in non-English speaking countries where the books aren't very popular (and France will be headed that way with a $6m OW) then that's a mark in the win column.
