The previous SLJ Shaft movie adjusts to $117M today and this looks like it might not even make 1/3 that amount. Always felt it was an odd property choice to try reviving, and I'm guessing the studio did too at the point where it was too late and the movie was made since they sold all of the overseas rights to Netflix.

Find it tough to see 30+ ow for MIB despite Sun hold if previews are under 3.

The issue is how to get the 3. I'm not sure it can go that high. It would need to play closer to a pure family movie like SLOP or Hotel Transylvania to get that based on what I'm seeing on Pulse.

With an inflated ow it's not gonna have a great multiplier either. 2.6-2.7x is my blind guess. With 30 that gives 78-81 dom.

 

If ow is under 30 which looks like the case with 2.5 odd preview, then with 25-27 ow it needs 3x+ to cross 80m.

with TS4 incoming it will be tough to cross $80 M ... my guess also 2.6 or 2.7x ...
