It dropped 53% when WW opened.

It's legs like WWs have benefited from a plethora of rotten competition.

That not the case for the next few weeks.

Every time someone says WW will drop a decent amount, it holds on incredibly well.

I'll believe a 50% drop happens when I see it

The theme of 2018 at the box office could certainly be cannibalization. Summer and holiday stretches could be bloody. In the case of the Holiday it's the family aimed films that are insane (Mulan, Grinch, Beasts 2, Ralph 2, animated Spidey, Mary Poppins 2).

I think all studio must all sit down and come out with agreement and abide it, the current movie market cannot accommodate this much of movie, even china's market has much much slowed down in growing....

This is like prisoner dilemma scenario, all studio suffered in the end, some good movie couldn't even stand out even with WOM, and with this packed schedule, the tomato law's power will only grow, as people just can't afford to have some many blockbuster at once, and become dependent on RT to make their choice

This forum is incredibly blessed that when Deadpool 2 comes out next year, I'll be in the middle of my first year medical school finals.

Ya'll might not hear from me then, but just know that all your responses and reactions to the film will be noted.

Despicable Me 3 actually missed its industry tracking too. $74m is still good for a threequel. Especially when the Minions are the money and they already have their own film.

Of course, fabulous for Wonder Woman. $707.9m worldwide now, wow!

What kind of agreement would they abide to and why would a company like Disney care if Paramount can't produce a competitive well reviewed blockbuster?

Why are u predicting such a terrible drop for Wonder Woman next weekend? Isn't it possible for the movie to keep it's legs?!

It's gonna loose many screens, since SpiderMan may need them.

Yeah, April 19 would be a good spot for it to move to.

EDIT: Nevermind apparently another Dinsye live action fairytale is scheduled for the end of March. So yeah, don't really know where a good spot for it would be even if it does move to 2019.

Who says a Han Solo movie should be totally serious?

Wait Han Solo is a serious film? Since when?

:wintf:

Not a serious film as a drama film, but apparently those two fired directors were making a humor-almos-dumb-Han Solo, and Han Solo is not about humor, is about irony, sarcasm, sharpness ... that's why those two director were fired. And also, the "serious" tome of Rogue One was very well received ... so why try now with comedy, when a "serious general tone spotted with a bit of irony-sarcasm" worked previously?
