Mirror's Edge: Shattered Reflections, the final installment in the Mirror's Edge trilogy, has been pushed back to Y7 due to a "very busy release slate" at Cookie Pictures and the desire to focus on those projects instead. Chad Strahelski is still attached to direct and the cast are all still signed on.

Following Spark: Beyond the Sky, Cookie Pictures is planning to release Voltron: Reunion and The Eternal Storm: The Scavenger Wars Part II in the reemerging Cinerama format along with the tried and true IMAX release format. About ten minutes of footage for each film will be produced in Cinerama while about 30-40 minutes of each film is shot in 1.43:1 70mm IMAX.

@Xillix I figured since you said Cinerama is limited in movement I can use it for bigger dramatic scenes and landscape shots while IMAX is for the action.

Yeah you can pan it and move it around you pretty much just can't tilt the camera.

I have two scenes in mind for both movies that are very static (aside from left/right movement) but would benefit greatly from the added scope.

Nothing but sequels and remakes in Hollywood. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to write, produce and direct a satirical comedy for Infinite Studios about the creator of the biggest film in the world, that’s only had one film in the series is passing and plans to sell the rights, causing a group of studios heads competing for rights. The film is taking shots at most of the studios through parody in CAYOM: Cookie Pictures, Hourglass Pictures, Numerator Pictures, Lager Pictures and even the parent company of Infinite Studios: Endless Entertainment.

TMZ: Edward Nadny "Fuming" at Chuck and Liam

We have reports that with the final results of Chuck Norris and Liam Neeson vs. the Loch Ness Monster's box office run, Blankments Productions head Edward Nadny has exploded in anger.

"He wants to cancel the sequel," an anonymous source said. "He greenlit it with the internal expectation of a 100M DOM grosser and we definitely didn't get there. Unfortunately, Liam Neeson has a clause in his contract saying if the film is cancelled, he'll never work with the company again."

Director Clark Gregg has reportedly avoided Nadny since the opening of Loch Ness, well aware that his sequel was in danger of his wrath. However, a variety of legal contracts prevent the still untitled sequel from being cancelled, and indeed, will not stop the marketing campaign.

"From what I hear," our source says, "Nadny won't even know the plot until it's revealed at the Oscars. And he wants to use the slot for the Oscars to launch the Roger Rabbit campaign."

Unfortunately, he cannot. A stipulation of Clark Gregg's contract as director mentions an ad at the Oscars as a requirement for the sequel.

"Yeah, this one confuses me," our source continued. "Apparently there's a 'long history of Chuck and Liam being involved with the Oscars'? I don't know, when I asked Clark about it, he started ranting about how in a parallel timeline they've won Oscars and even hosted them and honestly, when Clark starts talking like that, I run away."

No matter how many phones Nadny throws out of his office window and crazy conspiracy theories Gregg comes up with, two things are certain: Chuck and Liam 2 will release in September Y5, and its title and premise will be revealed at the Oscars.

Fictional chairman Glenn Guthrie has issued a statement regarding advertisements that New Journey Pictures wants to show during the upcoming Oscar ceremony:

"We'll be debuting previews of the two projects we're most confident about in regards to box office: Banana Fish and Veggies in the Rain: a VeggieTales Movie. They'll be causin' cultural zeitgeists, you know what I'm sayin'?"

More details to come soon...

'STAR FOX' TAKES FLIGHT IN YEAR 5

After years of being stuck in development hell at Alpha Pictures, the studio is pretty confident that Star Fox will finally be released on July 16th, Y5. Directed by John Kahrs (Paperman), the video game adaptation will feature a blend of 2D and 3D animation technology, in what the director hopes will be a "visually-stunning experience that will combine the extravagance of CG animation with the expressiveness of 2D". The movie is also being released in several formats on IMAX 70mm film, regular 70mm film, 35mm film, IMAX digital, 4K digital and regular digital screens.

The film features the voice talents of Wyatt RussellWinston DukeJimmy O. Yang and Bob Odenkirk as Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare of the Star Fox team, respectively. Brian Tyree Henry will also play a big role as Wolf O'Donnell, while Jesse PlemonsDouglas Hodge and John Magaro star as Leon Powalski, Pigma Dengar and Andrew Oikonny. James Cromwell will voice General Pepper while Kyle MacLachlan voices the villain Andross. Amanda Crew, Harvey KeitelAlan Tudyk, and Kurt Russell have been cast in undisclosed roles.

The film's plot is described by Kahrs as a "space Western and a good old-fashioned revenge tale". Alpha Pictures published this plot summary:

Eight years after the disappearance of his father on the planet Venom, young hotshot pilot Fox McCloud (Russell) leads the Star Fox team, his father's old band of adventurers-for-hire, joined by brash daredevil Falco Lombardi (Duke), bubbly engineer Slippy Toad (Yang) and his father figure Peppy Hare (Odenkirk). When the team is contacted by General Pepper (Cromwell) of the Cornerian Army about the return of Andross (MacLachlan), the maniacal scientist responsible for Fox's father's disappearance, the team takes off to save Corneria and free the Lylat System, and hopefully for Fox, avenge his father's fate.

The film's score will also be composed by Michael Giacchino, who when interviewed described the soundtrack as taking a lot of inspiration from the works of Ennio Morricone and the spaghetti Westerns of the 1960s.

The film's first trailer is rumored to be premiering at the Year 4 Academy Awards.
