Impact
Since we all have seen it already. ;)Just wish they cast an American in that role. Also its hard to get a 3rd acting Oscar. Only 2 males have ever done it. Jack Nicolson and Walter Brenan.PLUS only Katherine Hepburn has won more then 2 lead Oscars. That was something that people brought up for Hanks in 2000.This is for DDL. riczhang
This is for DDL.I doubt anyone else will pick up a third lead before Streep does, but then again she did wait 29 years for her second, so DDL could sneak in first. Don't see him winning this year though, seems like Pheonix's year.

4815162342
But they've praised Murray, so I think he'll probably make it but Field probably isn't gonna end up making it.Sally Field is in LIncoln, not Hyde Park

acsc1312
I know a lot of you hate him, but I'd love to see Penn get another nomination. I don't care what he does in his life, he's an amazing actor.

acsc1312
I think it's like Jan something, so he might make the cut if voting is late this year.
4815162342
I think it's like Jan something, so he might make the cut if voting is late this year.A film has to be released in either NYC or LA before December 31st to be eligible for the "domestic" Oscar categories. Foreign Language film candidates simply need to be released in their home country before that date.Gangster Squad isn't likely to get a limited run in late December, so the studio is essentially conceding any Oscar hopes for the film (plus Penn would be Supporting anyway). MagnetMan
DDL in a Spielberg Lincoln pic? No question. As long as this is "Schindler's" Spielberg and not "Crystal Skull" Spielberg.
The Dark Alfred
Hawkes is a lock. Just like DDL and Phoenix. Sean Penn was terrific in This Must Be The Place. Unfortunately it won't be watched by the AMPAS members.
