fmpro
I think it will pass IM2 on Sat/Sun in South Korea. All signs point to it being a weekend movie. And it should gross a great deal more in $
Bluebomb
Hong Kong is quite unusial market. Its culture is highly Westernized, everyone speaks English etc. The locals are very well acquainted with American superheroes. It's the only place in Asia where The Dark Knight was a major hit. LOL. Not true at all. Not even one third of the population speaks English. The Dark Knight did exceptionally well in HK partially because they filmed some scenes there. Bluebomb
But English is very important in HK! Are you sure? I red the language is very influent there (colleges, culture..).I'm very sure. Less than 5% speak English as their first language. 32% speak English as a second language.English enjoys a higher status but most people are not willing to learn. I recall that students' grades in English have been getting worse in exams.

Apparently Shanghai has a good level in English, they made efforts for it
DeeCee
Up until the 1930's Shanghai was influenced by the west(especially Britain) in a similar way to Hong Kong.
Fake
http://www.deadline....-early-release/They speak of $2.7m not euros. Somewhere else I found those 2.7 include previews. Where do those 5m euros weekend come from?Deadline and others got it wrong. Wednesday including previews was 2.7m euros, not $2.7m.And 5m euros is just my projection based on the Thursday number.
