It's possible that expectations got the best of us after the stellar reviews for this 163 minute slow burn sci-fi thriller, but damned if expectations for a potential $50m OW and break-out run were possible. The gross may not sting so much had it not been for its $150m budget and its relatively middling overseas share, but needless to stay, Denis Villeneuve's career will definitely be fine.

Well I was rooting for Richard Strickland but, honestly, there are definitely enough Star Wars fans to have guaranteed Kylo Ren the win. But he's certainly not a bad choice. I like the character.
