Going to be very hard for Disney to get to $700m at this point.  They are going to get wiped out this week since they are near the bottom of the Top 10 and have a new movie coming in.

Well after this weekend they are 19 Million away.  It's gonna be close, one things for sure 690 is pretty much locked up so the quesiton is where is the other 10 million?  I believe Spillover will help a lot of titles including BP next week.  I.W. will consume most of the B.O. but AQP, RAM, ST2, BP and IFP will all still be making money.   This is much more competition then I originally thought before I.W. was going to drop.   So it's not like general audiences won't have choices with all the sold out I.W. showings.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'm assuming the theatre count loss for Black Panther next weekend will be one of its largest so far.

Are double features confirmed, or just something that you are guessing will be the case?

Peace,

Mike

It's a guess but BP is in prime spot for it since it's connection to AIW and it still has a strong PTA, which will help against big TC loss next wkd. Grosses are counted for both movies.

Super Troopers fanbase: "Please make a sequel! We'll support it! Seriously!"

Fox Searchlight: "Well, we'll give it a decent wide release and see how it goes."

cynics: "Woah, there. You can't honestly expect the fanbase to support it, right? This is gonna end up like Zoolander 2!"

*fanbase supports it, with numbers to prove it*

cynics: "Huh."

Looks like the once mighty ICOI is finally reaching the end of its run. It should ultimately finish a little north of $85M which would be an eye-popping 5x multiplier. It surely is the runaway leader for most surprising hit of the year.

It's gonna end up within a couple of million of Heaven is for Real, a similar breakout from a few years ago. Great run.

Theaters won't be having double features, especially at this point and Disney isn't asking for them.   They want as much pumped into Avengers as possible.

It is still possible that Black Panther has another $19m in it, but I doubt it.
