Tracking for a $21m OW according to BOP.

It would've been really solid for it considering how awful reviews are, and would reinforce the strength of the TCU brand.

Although, I'm not happy with it, the less people see it, the less damage it do to the brand, lol.

It's utterly bizarre that this wasn't marketed as a Conjuring Universe movie from the very beginning, there would definitely be more hype. Of course that's fine now as it won't damage the brand as much lol.

Warner knew they had a turd in the hands, that's why they didn't promote it as part of TCU, although, they should've took off any connection. Two bad movies in a row will hurt the brand.

Deadline said it's not officially branded as a Conjuring film because it's not related to the Warrens.

Annabelle: Creation grossed $100m DOM and $300m WW, both huge improvements on the disliked first one, something that rarely happens with a Horror sequel. It generated more than $100m in profits, was highly well liked by audiences and critics alike, got a fantastic 2.9x (best of all time for a Horror sequel), and brought so much goodwill for the Universe that helped the next spin off to break records, despite awful reviews.

Keep trying.

RT's consensus makes it clear that it's a movie that relies on jump scares and that it failed to build a creepy atmosphere as the story allows. It's all on director's shoulders, he isn't trustable.

Ah yes. If a director makes just one bad movie, he doesn't deserve to work again.

I'm talking exclusively about TCU that needs a safe bet right now, considering the damage both TN & La Lrona are going to do. If he failed on his first try on the Universe, why should Warner give him another chance? It's the same kind of stupid thinking that allowed Snyder to do 3 disliked DCU movies and almost ruined the brand.

It doesn't make much sense considering that none of the spin offs are linked to the Warrens, and yet they're part of the TCU.

Annabelle and The Nun both spun-off directly from the Conjuring films? La Llarona was never in a Conjuring film, nor was she investigated by the Warrens.

ah yes, I'm sure Warner will listen to you and not James Wan, who is allowing him to make Conjuring 3 in the first place

Yeah... film was repetitive, with some problems in the script, but overall, I thought it was okay. If this was a comic book movie with the same problems, I'm sure it would have better approval in the rotten tomatoes.

PS: Child actors are incredible. Warner never disappoints in this matter.
