Ezen Baklattan
La Luna is probably my favorite Disney/Pixar short of the Century.

AniNate
Hope this is going to have an original song. I can't separate OMAM from this now that they've been in the trailer

MovieMan89
So are we looking at a WALL-E very little talking situation here?
AniNate
Something like that, per word of God
MovieMan89
The newest trailer reminded me of Ice Age with a WALL-E style tone of isolated non-verbal bonding.
Ezen Baklattan
I imagine this movie throwing a huge curveball to the Pixar Theory.
FrozenUnicorn
I imagine this movie throwing a huge curveball to the Pixar Theory. My personal Pixar theory that makes way more sense than the "Pixar Theory": All Pixar films take place in the same universe in that they're all filmed as movies.
AniNate
I don't care to read the Pixar theory, but isn't this supposed to be an alternate timeline anyway?

Ezen Baklattan
I don't care to read the Pixar theory, but isn't this supposed to be an alternate timeline anyway? It's intended to be all one timeline, not really alternate. The gist of it is, "Boo is actually the witch from Brave. BTW humans are a-holes." shayhiri
The Shay has just changed his display name - to reflect what we know so far about this movie.
FrozenUnicorn
The Shay has just changed his display name - to reflect what we know so far about this movie. For someone who claims Joy is his dominant emotion, I'm beginning to think it's more Disgust and Anger. Just saying. There's still an opportunity for more trailers. Mojoguy
What I don't get is... why does Pixar spend so much money making realistic CGI backgrounds? Just Smurfs it and make CGI characters over live action backgrounds.
AniNate
Isn't a hallmark of great animation the ability to make your fantastical setting feel like a real place? Edited July 28, 2015 by tribefan695
Mojoguy
Isn't a hallmark of great animation the ability to make your fantastical setting feel like a real place? Sure, but there comes a point when the backgrounds are not much different from live actions locations. I have to ask why bother? Disney's Dinosaur movie used live action backgrounds with CGI characters. It looked good, the problem was the writing.
AniNate
Because technology has evolved to the point where you can make your own "live action" environment. You don't have to rely on real world terrain. They're pretty much doing what James Cameron did with Avatar only with animated characters as well Edited July 28, 2015 by tribefan695
